If you remember this post, I mentioned that our severe case of Cabin Fever messed with our brains and caused us to do all sorts of crazy things like taking lots of random pictures, hosting our personal Winter Olympics, and even take a Barefoot Snow Sprint.  Right, I guess we really have difficulty coping with a very untimely snowstorm that left us snowed in and cutoff from the outside world.

But thankfully it is only a memory now!

Now, don't get me wrong... I really do think snow is beautiful and fun, but when you live in a place where your electricity and water will go out at the slightest change in the weather, you start to reevaluate your priorities.

Snow... or... Electricity and Water?

Electricity and Water wins every time.

Anyway, snow does make a lovely photoshoot location, so we took advantage of that possibility!

Mommy and Daddy exploring our property's "new look".

Hm, writing in the snow like this must be how Eskimos right letters to each other.
No, that wouldn't work so well because by the next snowstorm--okay, forget that.

 This is how Californians live.

Hey, we are smiling!

Snow showers!
Mahalo Nui Loa!!!

And then we had some fun...

 Surf's up!

Taking a break before catching the next wave...

With a stunning background, we waiting for the snow to stop before running out with our interments to take a few snaps (no, I do not normally bring my violin out into those temperatures, but I made sure we worked fast!).

Shiloh brought her harp out for some nice shots.

I guess this is how harpists workout!  ;)

Then Jordan decided it might be fun to photobomb...

...And he did have a little fun.

That is, until...
Guys, don't mess with this girl!  It won't be pretty.

Well, the snow melting quite a few days ago and life has gone back to our busy normal.  However, I will admit that despite the fact that we did have a power outage and missed the conference Jordan and I were playing music at, I did enjoy experiencing God's amazing and gorgeous creation.  Each little snowflake is different and a testimony to His incredible design.
It is rather interesting, when the Bible mentions snow, sometimes it is in the context of Salvation.  When we are cleansed and forgiven from our filthy sins, the blood of Jesus Christ washing us and makes us pure and clean... just like snow.
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
~Isaiah 1:18
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow"
~Psalm 51:7

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lesson from Olympic Iceskater Julia Lipnitskaia

At age 15, Julia Lipnitskaia is a phenomenal ice skater competing in the Olympics.  Of course she was amazing to watch, but what really made her stick out above the rest of the athletes was the fact that she took a stand.

The music she used for her long program was the Theme from Schindler's List and, dressed in a red coat, she took on the role of "the girl in the red coat" from the movie.  Believe it or not, she was advised not to do it because it was just "too political".  Excuse me?  It's too political to do a tribute to the six million Jews that died in the Holocaust?  That is completely outrageous.  We already have people that deny the Holocaust, but it can not be forgotten.  What the Nazis did to those Jews (and others) was horrifying and yet it is too political to remember the lives of the innocent men, women, and children.  Sorry, that is just warped.

But Julia Lipnitskaia took a stand.

And guess what?  She will not be forgotten for what she is doing to honor and remember the victims of the Holocaust.

I hope this little girl wins.  She deserves it.

We as Christians should take a lesson from her.  We should be standing for what is right whether it be for the life of the unborn, for the Biblical account of Creation, for the Kingdom of God...  And we have no excuse because we have the power of the Holy Spirit and through Christ Jesus, we will triumph!

"Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called."
~Ephesians 4:1

2014 Winter (Sorta) Olympics

Since we have been snowed in over the weekend and missed the conference some of us were playing music at, we have been getting creative with all this snow play.  We took some fantastic and hilarious pictures that we will be sure to share with you all soon... but in the meantime, have a peek at our 2014 Winter (Sorta) Olympics with your host: Bethany!

And since we still have to be training for the 2016 Summer (Sorta) Olympics...
Shiloh, Eden, and I take a Barefoot Snow Sprint!

Shiloh in the dark, Eden in red, and Me in the white.

Because of the snow, we had one power outage and are praying that that was the only one!  After today, temperatures should go up and life will go back to normal.

And keep an eye out for those pictures--you won't want to miss them!

Just For Fun: Friend for Life

So there is this person I know and I have known them all my life.

And yeah, actually it's Moi.

So that's what I looked like as a baby!  Hm, I haven't changed a bit.  Okay, so maybe I have a little more hair now...

And on a completely different note, want to be let in on a little secret?!

Alright, hang onto your seat!

I am officially announcing World Changing Production's newest short film, "I Named You Hope"!!!  I wrote the script and am finalizing those details, we need to put everyone to parts, and set a time to get that camera rolling!  I'm not going to give away anymore secrets than these two:
1) This will be a dramatic movie.  That is something we have wanted to do for quite a while and I'm glad we now are finally putting the thought into action!
2) This song will feature a special original song that Jordan and I are writing.
So there you have it!  Am I excited?
No, I am thrilled to be directing and acting in another movie my siblings and I are putting together!

Wrapping up at midnight from our last movie.  Gotta love late nights!

(If this post was rather random and here, there, and everywhere, it's because I just happen to be exhausted tonight.)
