Rehersal

Last night I had a fantastic time rehearsing with a group of musicians.  We are joining the Whispering Roses in concert with the "Celtic Concerto" by Laura Zaerr, which features solo harp accompanied by a small ensemble, a string quartet, and even a few saxophone solos!  We rehearsed for three hours and would have gone longer had we not realized it was getting late.  It is easy to get carried away when it comes to music.  ;)

Shiloh got a couple of pictures, so hopefully they will interest you enough to join us for the concert!

Janna B. is our soloist and a very accomplished harpist.

The Celtic Concerto in full swing!

This is the awesome group of musicians!

Then we did our string quartet rehearsal...
Discussing where to come in, how to articulate that measure, bringing out the ritard there... all that good stuff!

It has been a dream of mine to play in a string quartet.  I am totally thrilled that I have this opportunity with such a fun group of girls.  Kathrina is a great first violinist and leads the group well, Ashley is our cellist and we get to start the piece out, and Maren is the violist and brings a lot of really great suggestions to help us play as a group.

And of course we just had fun talking.  ;)

Come join us!

Is that Ross Levitt on the metal flute thingy (saxophone?)? There is a funny story to how we met Ross. Basically, it involved waffles in the hotel lobby during the Family Economics and Discipleship Conference. ;0)

That's so exciting Bethany:):):):) I'll be praying for the performance to go well. I really will miss being able to hear it in person. Maybe you could get one of your siblings to film it for us:)

Kyle: Yes, that is Ross! Funny you mention that you have met him... he was at our house tuning our piano the day after the rehearsal and well, your name came up in the conversation. ;)

Elanee: I'm going to miss you all too! I was hoping to get someone to film, so I'll be able to post pictures and video(s). :)

It’s not fair that all you guys live on the west coast! :( If any of you would not mind buying me a ticket...

I have the perfect idea, Daniel!!! Do a Kickstarter fund to come and visit us. ;)

When you were playing the quartet I wanted to go play on the harp, but I thought better of it. :)

Hey, where's the credit to the amazing photographer??
